With decades of experience, these certified public accountants have obtained knowledge about many specialty services and industries. The quality service and hard work ethic found at the firm helps or assists an individual or corporation in obtaining the best solution for any financial situation.
Jerry Catalano is the senior partner and one of the founding partners of Catalano, Caboor & Co. He is a graduate of Roosevelt University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, majoring in Accounting.
Mr. Catalano has specialized knowledge of: construction industry, ongoing technology operations and start-ups, printing, manufacturer representatives, advertising, plastics, automotive industry, broadcast media, sports industry and healthcare industries. He has extensive experience dealing with family run businesses. Currently, he is part owner in an automotive family business. His prior experience includes fifteen years as a CPA at another firm.
Jerry also specializes in R&D Tax Credit, Adoption Tax Credit and film accounting. Jerry, Christine Fitch, and Catalano, Caboor & Co. are on the list of only 8 Illinois CPA firm's on the Illinois Film Office website for completing Illinois Film Production Tax Credit and Illinois Live Theater Tax Credit.

Jerry is a member of the American Institute and Illinois Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Catalano is active in the Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Corporation. Jerry also, serves as a trustee for a University of Illinois scholarship fund. He is a member of the National Academy of Record Arts and Sciences and the American Association of Composers and Publishers.

Steve Caboor is one of the founders of Catalano, Caboor & Co. He graduated from the University of Illinois - Chicago with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, majoring in Accounting.
Mr. Caboor is the managing partner of Catalano, Caboor & Co. He has extensive experience in numerous commercial industries. Steve specializes in auditing and accounting for “not-for-profit” organizations.
Steve is a member of the American Institute and Illinois Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is active in community, having served as the president of a large homeowner’s association as a three-term officer of the Mt. Prospect Jaycees and has served on the boards of the Roselle Medinah Youth Softball and Baseball association and Lake Park High School Athletic Booster Club.
Steve has also served as the treasurer of People, Environments & Programs, an organization that provides assistance to the handicapped. Steve served for eight years as an elected school board member for an elementary school district.
Steve Borucki is a partner at Catalano, Caboor & Co. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois - Chicago with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
Mr. Borucki specializes in auditing, computer applications and business systems. Steve has extensive experience with manufacturers, automotive industry, healthcare industry, R&D Tax Credit and retail chains. His prior experience includes several years as an internal auditor at a Fortune 500 company.
Steve is a member of the American Institute, Illinois Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Association of Tax Practitioners.
Tony Ozzauto is a partner at Catalano, Caboor & Co. He is a certified public accountant and a graduate of DePaul University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
Mr. Ozzauto specializes in providing tax management, accounting, outsource CFO and management consulting services to closely held businesses and high net worth individuals. He is experienced with all aspects of taxation, including research, planning and compliance for corporate, partnership, individual and estate and gift taxes. Tony also specializes in employee benefit plan audits also referred as 401k audits and R&D Tax Credit.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society.
Ron Jachim is a partner at Catalano, Caboor & Co. He is a certified public accountant and a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
Mr. Jachim specializes in auditing, cost accounting, real estate related tax matters and R&D Tax Credit. He has extensive experience with manufacturers, construction contractors, real estate developers and service organizations. Ron also has prior experience working in the accounting department of a Fortune 100 company.
He is a member of the American Institute and Illinois Society of Certified Public Accountants.
David Maines is our newest partner and has over 25 years of public accounting experience. He has extensive tax, audit, business advisory experience. He works with closely-held, small to midsize businesses as well as individuals in need of professional tax services. His advisory services include mergers/acquisitions, entity structure, internal controls, cost analysis, IRS representation and litigation support. He views relationships as partnerships and is highly regarded as proactive, responsive and results oriented.
David received his MBA from Michigan State University and his Bachelor's degree is from the University of Iowa. He is a member AICPA and Illinois CPA Society. He serves as a Board member and Treasurer of the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans. He is a Board member of the Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce and has provided assistance for numerous charitable organizations.
